How to get a Kyiv Resident's Card, how it differs from the Transport Card, when the subway is becoming more expensive, and how one can save 8 hryvnias from each trip, Rubryka explains.
In October, Kyiv residents were intimidated by the fact that a subway ride would cost 20 hryvnias. And while Kyiv Mayor Klychko has assured that fares will not increase, at least until the spring of 2022, news that fares should be more expensive reappeared in December. Thus, at the request of the Mintrans publication, the Kyiv Metro replied that it had already set the price of UAH 21.96 in the draft financial plan for 2022. The subway said that at this rate they would only break even, but will not receive additional income.
Thus, the cost of travel can more than double, so it's time to think about how to save on using public transport.
