The head of the Zakarpattia region, Myroslav Biletsky, reported this on Facebook.
According to the head of the military administration, runners from different parts of Zakarpattia, Ukraine, and international partners from Romania gathered in Khust. Gratian Florin Parvu, the consul of Romania in Solotvyna, was among the participants.
According to Biletsky, this year's half marathon and 10 km were run for the first time on a certified route, and therefore, the results will be taken into account at international competitions.
"For the seventh time, a large-scale sporting event – Khust Half Marathon – was held in Khust, and at the same time, the Ukrainian Road Running Championship. It is gratifying that every year the number of participants is increasing, and other cities of Transcarpathia are also taking over the baton of holding such competitions," the official's post says.
The head of the region specified that about 1,000 people took part in the race:
Additionally, 22 service members and veterans wounded in battle participated in the inaugural "Warriors' Race" for 100 meters, newly introduced to the event program.

"This year, Transcarpathia, as one of the safest regions of the country, is hosting the Ukrainian Road Running Championship, in which 55 professional athletes took part. The winner of the competition will represent our country at European competitions," the head of the regional military administration added.

Khust Half Marathon is a charity event. Thanks to the starting fees of the participants, sponsors, and the charitable foundation "For the Development of Our City", a record number of hexacopters in the history of the race was collected – 168. They will be transferred shortly to the 414th Separate Brigade of Unmanned Aircraft Systems, "Birds of the Magyar".
It should be noted that a charity race called "Ten of Invincibility. Kyiv 2025" was held in Ukraine's capital. This year, about 300 runners had the opportunity to compete for the Ministry of Internal Affairs Cup. Also, as part of this year's race, a collection of electronic warfare equipment for the 3rd separate assault brigade of Ukraine's armed forces was held, and 50% of the profits from the race are planned to be transferred to the purchase of drones.
