Solutions to win: Ukraine’s Defense Ministry approves ‘Khyzhyi Ptakh’ UAV complex for combat operations

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has approved using the unmanned aerial vehicle complex "Khyzhyi Ptakh" in combat operations. This is the latest Ukrainian-produced unmanned aerial vehicle complex.

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported this.

According to the ministry, the department has allowed the use of the latest unmanned aerial vehicle complex (UAV) of domestic production, "Khyzhyi Ptakh," in the units of the Defense Forces.

Engineers created this complex, taking into account the experience of combat operations and the effectiveness of drones in destroying enemy equipment and fortifications.

"Khyzhyi Ptakh" has already demonstrated its high effectiveness in combat, destroying:

• armored vehicles,
• fortified enemy firing positions,

In addition, the UAV has increased resistance to the effects of enemy electronic warfare (EW).

Copters of this complex are equipped with a combat load capable of hitting heavy equipment, such as:

• Tanks
• Armored personnel carriers
• Self-propelled artillery installations

They are also designed to destroy fortified dugouts, as specified by the department.

"Khyzhyi Ptakh" successfully performs tasks in various weather conditions, operating both day and night, which makes it indispensable in intense combat operations.

For reference:

Over the past year, the Ukrainian defense industry has produced more than 30 thousand drone bombers, which are actively used to perform strike missions by the Defense Forces.

Moreover, in Ukraine, participants in the Brave1 cluster have developed a unique reusable drone-bomber called Hummel, which can cover a distance of up to 20 km.

Also, the Minister of Digital Transformation, Mykhailo Fedorov, spoke about the work of the Ukrainian drone "Katran", which is used by Ukraine's armed forces. Operations with its participation are classified.

In addition, by the end of the summer, the state will pay for the improvement in the supply of fiber-optic drones to the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

In addition, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine codified and allowed the Ukrainian-made WINFLY unmanned aerial systems to be operated in Ukraine's armed forces.
