The National Library of Ukraine has unveiled an updated childhood shelter, providing young readers with a safe and developmental space. The Republic of Azerbaijan supported this project.
On the eve of International Book Donation Day, February 14, the SavED charity foundation, together with its partner bookstore Readeat, launched a campaign to support Ukrainian school libraries. The goal of the pilot stage of the "School Book Dreams" campaign is to collect the necessary books for 10 educational institutions.
It should be noted that Ukraine and Canada started the year with an essential partnership: the two most extensive libraries of these countries – the Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine and the Toronto Public Library – signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.
According to Oleksandr Sapronov, a volunteer dedicated to supplying front-line and rural libraries with new literature, libraries maintain their relevance as long as they receive up-to-date books. More details about this initiative can be found in the Rubryka article, "7,000 books and counting: How one activist fills shelves in Ukraine's front-line libraries."
