United to win: Latvia sends new humanitarian aid shipment to Ukraine’s armed forces

Latvia sent another shipment of humanitarian aid for Ukrainian defenders, containing a Volvo truck and a Volkswagen AMAROK pickup loaded with essential equipment.

The Embassy of Ukraine in Latvia reported this on Facebook.

Items included in the shipment:

• drones;
• diesel heaters
• portable generators
• charging stations
• computer equipment (laptops, tablets, servers)
• optical devices
• other essential items

"All this will significantly strengthen the defense capabilities of Ukrainian defenders, increase the effectiveness of tasks in the fight against the Russian enemy, and help save the lives of our heroes," the diplomatic mission noted.

Part of this aid will also be transferred to:

• Chernihiv Regional Military Administration,
• the Executive Committee of the Tokmak City Council.

The humanitarian cargo was prepared with the support of the STOPIFY charity platform, the Latvian charity foundation Ziedot.lv, the Tet.lv company, Spanish volunteers, and the public organization Biedrība Razom.lv. The Ambassador of Ukraine, Anatolii Kutsevol, took part in the aid shipment.

"We express our gratitude to Latvia, Latvian benefactors, and ordinary Latvians and Ukrainians for their constant assistance to Ukraine. Your support is a significant contribution to the joint fight against the Russian aggressor and our joint victory!" the embassy thanked.

On December 4, the Latvian capital sent special-purpose vehicles for the needs of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

In addition, the intelligence of the Ukrainian military received drones purchased with charitable funds collected in Latvia.

As reported earlier, Latvian Foreign Minister Baiba Braže completed her first half marathon to raise funds for drones for Ukraine, collecting 13,500 euros and counting.

Next year, Latvia, like this year, will allocate 20 million euros for an international drone coalition designed to strengthen Ukraine's defense capabilities. In addition, Latvia has begun training Ukrainian drone operators.
