Germany sends 100 generators and construction equipment to Dnipropetrovsk region

Germany's Federal Agency for Technical Assistance is continuing its support for Ukraine in addressing the war's aftermath. This time, communities in Ukraine's Dnipropetrovsk region received another shipment of aid, including 100 new generators and 2 manipulators.

Enemy shelling frequently destroys homes and infrastructure, leaving residents unable to rebuild. Energy facilities are also targeted, cutting off electricity to residential buildings and businesses.

The support of international partners, particularly Germany, is crucial for addressing the challenges of wartime.

Thanks to assistance from the Federal Republic of Germany, Ukrainian communities in the Dnipropetrovsk region received another shipment of aid, which includes 100 new generators and 2 manipulators.

How does it work?

As Lysak mentioned, vehicles with manipulators were dispatched to Nikopol and the Chervonohryhorivska community —areas that face regular shelling from Russian troops.

These new machines will aid in transporting construction materials to quickly secure damaged structures and carry out repairs.

A key component of this aid consists of 100 generators, which have been distributed to various settlements.

"The devices will be installed in educational and medical institutions in some areas, while in others, they will be placed at critical infrastructure facilities and wells. This will allow them to continue operating during power outages," the head of the region emphasized.

It's important to note that the winter of 2024-2025 is expected to be one of the most challenging in the past three years. Ukrenergo is preparing for various potential scenarios this winter.

Additionally, Norway has allocated NOK 1.1 billion (approximately USD 105 million) to restore Ukraine's energy infrastructure in cooperation with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).
