How does it work?
The organizers say Sens bookshop and No Waste Ukraine organization collect Russian books for recycling. The collectors will hand the books to a cardboard and paper plant for recycling.
"We are convinced that Russian-language literature has no place on the bookshelves of Ukrainians. Get rid of unnecessary waste paper and free up space for new texts and meanings," say the activists.
All withdrawn funds will go to the collection of Sens and the Hurkit Charity Fund to help Ukrainian air defense.
We will remind you that in February, the network of educational, cultural, and volunteer spaces at Honcharenko Center launched a large-scale collection of Russian and Russian-language books in 12 cities of Ukraine. The collected books were sent for recycling, and the proceeds were used to purchase drones for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
