BGV Group, Led By Gennadii Butkevych, Ranks Among Ukraine’s Top Donors

According to the New Voice publication, Gennadii Butkevych's BGV investment group has been recognized as one of the top donors in Ukraine. The list includes prominent private companies, business groups, and foundations that have generously contributed to defense and humanitarian efforts between February 24, 2022 and March 1, 2024.

Therefore, during the two years of the full-scale war, BGV Group Management provided assistance totaling over 1 billion hryvnias. Gennadii Butkevych and his Group (including the BGV Charitable Fund) contributed 200 million hryvnias to support Ukraine's armed forces and civilians. Moreover, the fund attracted 878 million hryvnias for Ukraine, including direct financial aid and donor commodity support.

Overall, within the ranking system, the collective aid provided by the top donors amounted to 58.5 billion hryvnias.

It should be noted that between 2022 and 2024, the primary focus of BGV Group's charitable efforts included the following:

• humanitarian initiatives aimed at supplying essential consumer goods and hygiene products to vulnerable segments of the population;
• implementation of projects focused on children's well-being and education;
• providing support for defenders.

In the first two years of the full-scale invasion, the fund successfully:

• implemented over 30 complex projects to support defenders, aid the population, and restore infrastructure;
• delivered 373 trucks filled with humanitarian aid from Europe, totaling over 7,000 tons;
• partnered with around 40 organizations, including top European companies and foundations such as Rossmann, Dm-drogerie markt, Lidl, Chicco, and Help Alliance fund from Lufthansa, etc.;
• distributed more than 60,000 comprehensive food packs to socially vulnerable groups of Ukrainians;
• delivered over 90,000 sets of aid for children under the age of 3 to families all around Ukraine;
• contributed over 90 million hryvnias for the benefit of the Ukrainian military.

In 2023, the BGV Charitable Foundation, in collaboration with the Estonian government, initiated a program offering free prosthetics to Ukrainian soldiers. The prosthetic procedures take place in Tallinn at one of Estonia's most advanced hospitals. Through this program, patients receive cutting-edge, custom-made electronic prostheses to fit their needs. These high-tech prosthetics cost 70-80 thousand euros each. Currently, 32 prosthetics have been successfully installed.

In the future, BGV Group Management, led by Gennadii Butkevych, will continue to prioritize charity and humanitarian efforts.
