Ukrainian media network to host Recovery Media Conference in Kyiv

The "Recovery Window" media network announced the first Recovery Media Conference. The event will take place offline on March 15 in Kyiv, and registration is already open. 

Partners of the network, representatives of international and donor organizations, government officials, and other stakeholders involved in recovery in Ukraine are invited to participate in professional discussions.

"Recovery Window" will present its objectives and introduce new partners during the event. In February, over 50 media outlets and 20 civil society organizations joined the network after an open call.

The network will also present the results of two comprehensive studies: a nationwide sociological survey on the perception of reconstruction and an analysis of media discourse — a study of prevalent narratives on the topic of recovery in the media space.

"Recovery Window" is a platform designed to aggregate reconstruction, where the voices of all participants can be heard. The Recovery Media Conference will also serve as such a platform. Expert discussions will be held by representatives of state and local authorities, relevant civil society organizations, and media professionals. They will collectively discuss:

• The boundaries of responsibility for each player in the reconstruction.
• Challenges hindering the implementation and coverage of reconstruction efforts.
• How to make coverage of Ukraine's reconstruction qualitative and impactful.
• Building trust and engaging citizens in reconstruction.
• Obstacles to coordinated work among government, donors, civil society, and media, and how to address them.

Participation in the Recovery Media Conference is possible by pre-registration, as the number of spots is limited. The venue and time of the event will be announced to registered participants on the eve of the event.

UA Recovery Window Media Network began operating on January 22, 2024. It was founded by seven organizations: "Skidnyi Variant" (Donetsk and Luhansk regions), "MOST" (Kherson region), "Nakypilo" (Kharkiv region), "Intent" (Odesa and Mykolaiv regions), the Rubryka nationwide solutions media outlet, the analytical center "Democratic Initiatives," and the analytical platform VoxUkraine.
