Russian drones and rockets attack Ukraine: four injured in Dnipro, couple killed in Sumy

Russian troops launched drone and missile strikes on Ukraine on the evening of February 25.

The attackers targeted the major cities of Kharkiv and Dnipro, injuring four people, Rubryka reports, citing the Ukrainian Air Force.

Around 7:50 p.m., the Ukrainian military warned citizens of the threat of ballistic rocket attacks. Later, they revealed that a missile was heading toward the central city of Kryvyi Rih but changed course toward the city of Kropyvnytskyi.

Andrii Raikovych, the head of the Kirovohrad Regional Military Administration, stated that the region experienced another massive missile attack. Initial reports show there were no casualties and damage to infrastructure.

Later, the Air Force reported drones in the Bohodukhiv district of the northeastern Kharkiv region moving west and southwest. At 10:13 p.m., the ballistic weapon threat and drone strikes were being repelled.

Around 9:17 p.m., the Air Force reported a missile moving toward Dnipro. Later, the Ukrainian national broadcaster Suspilne reported multiple explosions in the suburbs. Ukrainian fighters also reported Shahed drones near the city.

Attack on Dnipro

Dnipro Mayor Borys Filatov reported that two people were injured due to the Russian attack. There is also damage to private properties — roofs, facades, and windows are damaged.

It was later revealed that the falling debris of a Russian drone broke windows in three five-story buildings and production buildings of one enterprise. Overall, ten private houses, three cars, and one truck were damaged overnight.

Bombing of Sumy region

On the morning of February 26, the Sumy Regional Military Administration reported that Russian forces shelled the region again. Around 2:15 a.m., Russians carried out an airstrike on the Yunakivka community using guided aerial bombs. Four explosions were recorded.

Two people — a couple who were at home at the time of the strike — were killed. Also, a private residential building was destroyed, and five others were damaged.

Explosions in Kharkiv region

Around 11:05 p.m., Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov and head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Oleh Syniehubov reported explosions in Kharkiv. Later, Syniehubov specified that the Russians struck in the Kharkiv district.

"Initial information: the Russian army launched S-300 missiles from the territory of Belgorod. As of now, we received no information about casualties," he added.

On Sunday, February 25, the Russians attacked the Zaporizhzhia region. According to the military administration, one person was killed, and three were injured due to the strike.

As reported by Rubryka, on Sunday evening, February 25, an air raid warning was announced in some regions of Ukraine. Russian forces again launched drones and missiles into Ukrainian territory.

During the night, they launched 18 Shahed drones across the country; anti-air defense forces downed 16 drones.

In the early morning, several explosions occurred in the Khmelnytskyi region. The Air Force also warned of the drone threat in this region. The Kyiv Regional State Administration reported the work of air defense forces against combat drones.

Later, the South Operational Command reported destroying six Shahed kamikaze drones.

The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine conducted over 18,000 sorties and destroyed nearly 2,000 missiles, over 4,000 drones, 340 aircraft, and 325 helicopters during two years of full-scale war.
