Russia targets Belarusian youth for military university recruitment – National Resistance Center

The Russian invaders are trying to recruit Belarusian youth to their military academies. In particular, they hold so-called "open days" in Belarus's district centers.

National Resistance Center reported this.

"Representatives of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are holding so-called "open days" in the district centers of the Republic of Belarus, where citizens of the Republic of Belarus are offered to study to become officers at Russian military higher educational institutions," the message reads.

Due to the high casualties suffered in the war against Ukraine, there was a notable shortage of lower-ranking officers within the Russian occupying forces. To address this issue, Russia is actively recruiting citizens from other countries, specifically from Belarus.

The National Resistance Center notes that every occupier who sets foot on Ukrainian soil will have to pay for it, regardless of where he was born. Residents of temporarily occupied territories are urged to provide information on the presence and movements of Russian troops on the Resistance.bot.

Although there is a policy of mandatory passports, where the enemy is using threats to coerce Ukrainians into obtaining red passports, the majority of Ukrainians disregard the occupiers' demands. Starting next year, Ukrainians without Russian passports will be classified as foreigners in their own country; however, currently 60 to 70% (depending on the region) of Ukrainians are refusing to obtain the enemy's paper.

The Russian army is still actively suppressing the Ukrainian language and literature in the occupied territories. Additionally, the occupying administrations in these temporarily held lands have been given instructions to create updated lists of unaccompanied children for future deportation.
