Lithuania delivers new military aid package to Ukraine

Lithuania's defense ministry continues to provide ongoing military support to Ukraine. Vilnius has transferred a new batch of aid to Kyiv, according to the press service.

The state's forces have delivered several million rounds of ammunition and several thousand units of anti-tank weapons ammunition for short-range rocket-propelled grenade launchers to Ukraine. Additionally, around a thousand complex folding beds were included in the shipment.

"We hear Ukraine's urgent requests and continue to provide support according to the stated needs. We actively encourage our allies to do the same," said Lithuanian Minister of Defense Arvydas Anušauskas.

The state has already devised a long-term support plan. For the years 2024-2026, a new package of military aid to Ukraine in the amount of 200 million euros is planned.

Lithuania is one of Ukraine's key allies, helping Kyiv not only with weapons and military equipment but also with training for the military.

Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Lithuania's financial assistance to our country has amounted to more than €1 billion.

The Leopard tanks that were damaged during the fighting in Ukraine will be repaired in Lithuania.

The state will also allocate about €340 million to help Ukraine next year, sending funds to support education.

A month ago, Lithuania handed over sets of radar equipment for the needs of the Ukrainian Navy.

On November 10, the state sent NASAMS anti-aircraft missile systems to Ukraine along with the necessary equipment. The defense ministry added that off-road vehicles for the crew were also delivered.
