Zelensky meets with delegation of US congressmen

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky received a bipartisan delegation of the House of Representatives of the United States of America, consisting of James French Hill, Michael Quigley, and Stephen Lynch, who are in Ukraine on a visit.

The Office of the President reported this.

The head of state emphasized that such solidarity visits are a powerful signal of support for Ukraine and the entire Ukrainian people from the US. This is especially important on the eve of winter when the aggressor state plans to continue missile terror against Ukrainian cities and critical infrastructure facilities.

"We highly appreciate the fact that the Republican and Democratic parties, the administration of President Joseph Biden, as well as the U.S. Congress, are united in supporting Ukraine. This is indeed a powerful message to the world that we will prevail in our fight for our common values – freedom and democracy," Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized.

The issue of continuing effective and comprehensive support to Ukraine from the United States was discussed during the meeting. In this context, emphasis is placed on the importance of submitting a budget request to Congress by US President Joseph Biden regarding the financing of aid expenditures to Ukraine, which includes the provision of budgetary and military assistance.

"Since the early days of the full-scale invasion, U.S. support remains unwavering, which has helped unite the world around Ukraine. Continuing such assistance is the key to our country's success in countering Russian aggression," the president noted.

Volodymyr Zelensky also informed the American delegation in detail about the situation on the front line and the priority needs of the defense forces of Ukraine. In this context, the key areas of further American assistance to Ukraine in the field of security and defense were discussed in detail.
