Ukrainian forces continue advancing on Melitopol front, have success near Bakhmut and Robotyne

The operational situation in the east and south of Ukraine remains difficult, but the Ukrainian forces continue the offensive on the Melitopol front.

According to Ukraine's General Staff, soldiers are destroying the enemy and liberating the occupied territories step by step. They have had success in the area south of Robotyne and consolidated on the achieved boundaries, Rubryka reports.

Russian army's attacks

During the past day, the Ukrainian soldiers and Russia troops clashed in combat 39 times. The Russian forces launched seven missile strikes and 74 air strikes and fired 46 rockets from multiple rocket launchers at the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas.

Situation on the front lines

In the north and northeast, the Russian forces launched airstrikes in the areas of Popivka, Salny of Chernihiv region, Sumy, Hrabovske, Starykove of Sumy region, and Hranove of Kharkiv region. More than 25 settlements were pounded by artillery and mortar fire, including Turia, Bleshnia of Chernihiv region, Kozache, Uhroidy, Hrabovske of Sumy region, and Udy, Veterynarne, Vovchansk, Budarky, Hatyshche, Ohirtseve of Kharkiv region.

The Ukrainian defense forces repelled Russian attacks near Kupiansk. More than 15 settlements, including Krasne Pershe, Kamianka, Fiholivka, Dvorichna, Kucherivka, and Tabaivka of the Kharkiv region, were hit by Russian artillery and mortar attacks.

Near Lyman, Ukrainian defenders repelled Russian attacks in the Novoiehorivka area of the Luhansk region. The Russian forces launched airstrikes near Bilohorivka, Luhansk region, west of Dibrova, Spirne, Donetsk region. More than 15 settlements, including Nevske, Bilohorivka of the Luhansk region and Verkhniokamianske, Vesele, Spirne, Rozdolivka, and Yampolivka of the Donetsk region, were hit by Russian artillery and mortar attacks.

On the Bakhmut front, Ukrainian soldiers repelled Russian attacks near Orihovo-Vasylivka, Klishchiivka, and Andriivka of the Donetsk region. The Russian forces launched an airstrike near Maiorsk, Donetsk region. More than 15 settlements, including Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka, Niu York, and Pivnichne, Donetsk region, were hit by artillery and mortar shelling. 

After the assault, the Ukrainian forces partially succeeded south of Bakhmut, dislodging the Russian troops from the occupied positions and securing themselves at the achieved boundaries.

The Russian forces unsuccessfully attacked the Keramik and Avdiivka districts of the Donetsk region, launching an airstrike near Avdiivka. More than ten settlements, including Novokalynove, Keramik, Stepove, Avdiivka, Severne, and Pervomaiske of the Donetsk region, were hit by Russian artillery and mortar attacks.

Near Maryinka, the Ukrainian forces continued to hold back the advance of Russian troops in the Maryinka and Novomykhailivka districts of the Donetsk region. Ukrainian soldiers repelled more than ten Russian attacks during the last day. The enemy launched an air strike in the Krasnohorivka area. About 15 settlements, including Krasnohorivka, Maryinka, Pobieda, Novomykhailivka, and Antonivka of the Donetsk region, were hit by Russian artillery and mortar attacks.

Near Shakhtarsk, the Ukrainian forces repelled enemy attacks in the area south of Prechistivka. The Russians launched an air strike near Urozhaine. About ten settlements, including Vodiane, Vuhledar, Prechistivka, Zolota Niva, and Urozhaune of the Donetsk region, were hit by Russian artillery and mortar attacks.

On the Zaporizhzhia front, the Russians carried out airstrikes in the areas of Mala Tokmachka, Zolota Niva, Robotyne, Novodanilivka, and Omelnyk of the Zaporizhzhia region. More than 20 settlements, including Olhivske, Huliaipole, Levadne, Mala Tokmachka, Piatykhatky, Robotyne, and Kamianske of the Zaporizhzhia region, were hit by artillery and mortar attacks.

Near Kherson, the Russian forces launched an air strike near Kozatske. Antonivka, Kherson, Veletenske, and Tomyna Balka of the Kherson region were shelled with artillery and mortar attacks.

Successes of the Ukrainian military

The Defense Forces of Ukraine continue to conduct an offensive operation on the Melitopol front. During the past day, the Air Force carried out ten strikes on the areas with the most concentration of Russian troops, weapons, and military equipment and the positions of the Russian anti-aircraft missile systems. One ammunition depot, six artillery systems, two control points, and two anti-aircraft missile systems were hit by Ukrainian missile troops and artillery units.
