Chernihiv missile attack: number of victims rises to 148

The casualty rate increases to 148 injured in the Chernihiv missile strike. The head of the local military administration states 48 patients are in the hospital to receive proper assistance.

As of this morning of August 20, around 41 people remain in the hospital. Medics have operated 15 more civilians in the city's medical facilities.

Currently, the city center is being actively cleaned up after the missile attack, as municipal equipment is working on the site of the hit.

Authorities are conducting the inspection of damaged houses and institutions, documenting the consequences of Russia's brutal attack on the peaceful city.

The blast waves damaged over 500 houses, including more than 60 that were located near the hit site.

The Saturday morning was disrupted by a sudden missile hit from Russia, which targeted the busy city center. Local authorities state the enemy forces used a ballistic missile, which can reach the bordering city of Chernihiv in less than three minutes.

The attack damaged a drama theater, a square, court buildings, the local military administration, shops, and other public facilities. The attack took the lives of seven civilians, including a six-year-old girl.

This morning, Russia launched a missile attack on Chernihiv, right in the central square of the city. Where ordinary houses are located. Where is a city theater.
