UK to hold training for Ukrainian recruits without military experience

Recruits of the Armed Forces of Ukraine who have little or no military experience will undergo training in Great Britain for 5 weeks. During this time, fighters must acquire the skills necessary for survival and effectiveness in front-line combat operations.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports this on Facebook, Rubryka writes.

"The training program for Ukrainian recruits, which is ongoing in Great Britain, should provide them with combat skills that will allow volunteer soldiers to defend their homeland from russia's aggression.

The training is intended for volunteer recruits who have joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine with little or no prior military experience to teach them the skills needed to survive and be effective in front-line combat operations," the statement said.

It is emphasized that the training course is based on the course for reservists of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Great Britain. It will be held for at least five weeks.

According to the General Staff, Great Britain allocated 2.3 billion pounds of military aid to Ukraine.

In particular:

• anti-tank missiles (including NLAW, Javelin, Brimstone, and other anti-tank weapons),
• rocket launcher systems,
• armored vehicles,
• logistic vehicles,
• Stormer vehicles are equipped with Starstreak launchers and hundreds of missiles,
• Brimstone naval missiles,
• artillery ammunition,
• ammunition for small arms,
• anti-construction ammunition and 4.5 tons of plastic explosives,
• helmets,
• body armor,
• medical supplies,
• night vision devices,
• winter clothes

In total, the British military has trained more than 22,000 Armed Forces personnel since 2015, and this new training program continues in the UK.

The United Kingdom initially offered to train up to 10,000 Ukrainian soldiers to help them maintain defenses amid the most intense fighting in Europe in decades. Training continued in 2023.

Earlier, it was reported that since the beginning of the russian federation's large-scale invasion, thanks to partner states' help, more than 20,000 servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have already received training abroad.
