Security, energy efficiency and environmental friendliness: Servant of the People party named priority directions of Ukraine’s reconstruction

The reconstruction of Ukraine's war-ravaged infrastructure must be based on safety, energy efficiency, and environmental friendliness.

Olena Shulyak, the head of the political party "Servant of the People," told about this on the air of Ukrainian Radio, quoted by Rubryka.

They noted that the country's reconstruction has already begun and will continue after Ukraine's victory over the aggressor country.

"The authorities are already working on the standards by which the main components of reconstruction will be implemented: safety, energy efficiency, and environmental friendliness.

For example, we reviewed the system of civil protection, shelters, and bomb shelters.

We are developing new state building regulations so that the shelter system, which we will actually build from scratch, is efficient and optimal.

We plan to use dual-purpose facilities — parking lots, swimming pools, sports complexes," Shulyak explained.

Shulyak considers energy efficiency to be another national security issue, especially in conditions of energy blackmail from the russian federation.

"It is extremely important according to which standards new buildings will be built. They must be energy-efficient and ecologically sustainable," the head of "Servant of the People" is convinced.

Also, one of the components of reconstruction is the utilization and processing of a huge amount of construction debris formed due to the destruction caused by russian shelling without harming the ecology.

"We are studying the experience, in particular, of Israeli and French companies. We plan to consolidate the best technological capabilities at the legislation and technical documents level.

Only the Buchansky district in the Kyiv region has more than 2 million tons of construction debris. And we also need to consider the volumes in Kharkiv, Mariupol, and other cities," Shulyak said.

The leader of the party recalled what was currently going on:

• prompt restoration of transport connections,
• repair of critical infrastructure and residential buildings in the areas most affected by the russian invasion.
  The government allocated money for this from the reserve fund.

"Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Sumy, Chernihiv, Kharkiv and Kherson oblasts: at the level of local authorities, oblasts, communities, all measures are being taken to ensure that work on installing windows and repairing roofs is completed before winter," the head of the party concluded.
