The Norwegian publication Vårt Land reports.
In a controversial report published last Thursday, Amnesty concluded that the tactics of the Ukrainian military put the civilian population at risk by creating military bases in residential areas.
It did not gladden the Ukrainian authorities, who accused the organization of supporting russian propaganda.
So did many members of the Amnesty organization.
According to Vårt Land, after the report's publication, 60 Norwegian members resigned in protest against the organization, and 40 members left without explanation.
Amnesty Norway estimates that 20 of them are also protesters. "We used the same methods as before when investigating international law violations in the rest of the world. We are still responsible for the findings in the report," communications manager Sindre Stranden Tollefsens told the newspaper.
We will remind you that on Friday, the head of Amnesty Ukraine also resigned in protest. However, Amnesty stands by its findings in the report.

As reported by Rubryka, on August 4, the human rights organization Amnesty International stated that the Ukrainian military, which is restraining russia's invasion, endangers the civilian population because they create bases and place weapons in schools and hospitals.
At the same time, there is not a single word on the organization's website about the mass murder of Ukrainian prisoners of war in Olenivka and condemnation of the actions of the occupiers who destroyed the captured defenders of Ukraine.
Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba said that he was outraged by Amnesty International's statement and considered it unfair.
Amnesty International also said that it was unaware of any documented cases where the military asked or helped evacuate civilians from nearby buildings to minimize civilian casualties.
President Volodymyr Zelensky condemned the selectivity of Amnesty International and believed that the organization was trying to amnesty the terrorist state and shift responsibility from the aggressor to the victim.
The Ukrainian office of the human rights organization Amnesty International said that it did not participate in preparing and distributing the report, which claims that the Ukrainian army puts civilians at risk.
