In Zhytomyr region, unemployed women involved in making teas

In the town of Malyn in the Zhytomyr region, unemployed women were involved in the creation of herbal teas as part of a grant project.

Liudmyla Shtul, director of the Malyn district charity organization "Protection of Chornobyl Children," announced it, Ukrinform reports.

"We're implementing this project with grant funds from the Lviv Educational Foundation. We've purchased the necessary equipment and our primary goal is to attract unemployed women to make teas. They collected herbs themselves, learned how to properly dry and ferment them, and came up with tea compositions," Shtul said.

According to her, about 30 women joined the project. They make tea for their families, as well as give it to members of the charity, people who are in difficult life circumstances.

So far, they have created 6 blends of teas and are working on three more. Each tea contains 5-8 components, including herbs, berries, leaves, flowers. Finished products are packed in paper packaging.

The participants of the project have already prepared the components and will start making spices from them in the winter.

According to Shtul, in the future, they plan to sell tea, part of which will be donated to charity.

The grant project is already being completed, but the participants want to continue it within social entrepreneurship or their own business.
