Musk would colonize Mars faster than all Ukrainian schools are equipped with toilets
It's a photo of a toilet in my school №2 in the city of Novohrad-Volynskyi, Zhytomyr region. When I studied here from 1990 to 2000, the toilet was on the street. It wasn't until the early 2000s that the first stationary bathroom was rebuilt from a choreography class. As you can notice, the amenities have turned into a disgraceful spectacle in 20 years.
Since 2019, Ukraine has a program called "Dignity of the Child," which provides for installing internal toilets in schools where they're completely absent and repairing existing ones, such as this one. In the same 2019, UAH 267 million was allocated from the state budget for this purpose. And then we faced quarantine, crisis, promises to allocate another UAH 55 million for 2020 and… no more mentions on the website of the Ministry of Education and Science.
