Fur items and accessories are an invisible cause of suffering

Photo: Open Cages

Fur accessories and clothing items are directly related to the suffering of animals. Such items, despite being small and cheap, cause the same harm to animals as expensive jackets and fur coats. And for some, unfortunately, they will forever be a symbol of luxury living.

What is the story of the key chain on your keys?

Tailoring of hoods, sleeves, pompoms for hats, warming of footwear, gloves, earphones, key chains, and bags. The list of fur accessories and clothing items is very long. Hundreds of thousands of minks, raccoons, foxes, rabbits, and other animals have to give their lives every year to make the above-mentioned goods. The fur used to create various non-essential items and accessories comes from the same farms as the fur on the coats. This means that these are the same farms where animals live locked in cages, under constant stress, without the ability to meet their basic natural needs. All this leads to apathy, aggression, auto aggression in animals, as well as stereotypical behavior, i.e. mechanical performance and repetition of certain actions (for example, constantly running in a circle, or biting the bars of the cage).

In animals, certain diseases are traced, as well as deformity of the paws. And the wounds of animals, as a rule, are not treated in any way. It should also be added that the production of each fur product is directly related to soil and groundwater pollution. You can learn more about the realities of fur farms from the "Norkotrafik" documentary. That is why it is important to remember that what matters is not the size of the product, but in what way it was made.
