How to choose environmentally friendly toys
I must immediately say that most plastic toys are not recyclable. The "lucky ones" are burned at the incinerator. But imagining that someone in Poltava will take toys to Kyiv isn't realistic. Therefore, they safely end up in landfills. Most of the toys "live" a month maximum.
- Because the child quickly loses interest in them.
- Because there are a bunch of others, or parents will buy new ones. Or the child doesn't understand the full functionality of the toy and just breaks it.
So toys for children are another element that can lead the family on a slippery slope of hyper-consumption and a large environmental footprint.
