Why should we not determine the state of US-Ukrainian relations by phone calls?

Every time there's a call between the presidents of the United States and Ukraine, the Ukrainian media tracks down almost every word and every comma of the press releases of both sides on the results of these calls. Therefore, many political experts in the field are in a hurry to make a forecast of bilateral relations for almost years based on these same press releases. Are these telephone conversations so decisive for Ukrainian-American relations?

We should understand that since these phone calls take place behind closed doors, press releases cannot transmit 100% of the content of these conversations. Accordingly, we are given only the information about them that we are allowed to know. It is very strange to draw any large-scale conclusions from such pieces of information. In general, many people often forget that a large percentage of political decisions are made behind closed doors, and such a process is rarely made public. We should always keep this in mind when we read such news.
