Domestic violence: why offenders should be taught
When we talk about domestic violence without specific figures, it may seem to some that it is an abstract problem that will never affect relatives or friends.
However, if I say that about 40% of Ukrainians have acquaintances, relatives, or friends who have suffered from it, and another 7% say that they have experienced it in their lives, it will be more convincing, right?
In fact, the problem of domestic violence should not be underestimated. Last year alone, the National Police received more than 211,000 complaints about the phenomenon.
And here it is important to talk not only about helping the victims but also about how important it is to conduct social and psychological work with the perpetrators themselves.
