Although the accepted world practice on providing sick leaves or day-offs for this time for women doesn't exist. The reason and justification can be the common phrase "Menstruation is not a disease." which is generally true, however, it gives fruitful ground for employers' withdrawal from responsibility, further tabooing this topic for the state of affairs to remains as it is.
