We spell out pros and cons and explain how this system works in the world and what Ukrainian companies, which introduced such day-offs, have come up with.

"If a woman in the office is coming along the corridor with a clear worry on her face with her hands in fists, and she doesn't give you a high-five, she may have a tampon in her hand," one stand-up comedian said once.

Disadvantages related to hygiene issues are only a share of the problem. RUBRYKA analyzed the issue and learned how different countries were trying to implement the day-off, what they encountered, and whether women may be provided these day-offs in Ukraine.
