We're recalling the first days of events that changed the history of our country.
On November 21, Ukraine celebrates the Day of Dignity and Freedom. It is the day of two significant revolutions' beginning: the Orange Revolution of 2004 and the Revolution of Dignity of 2013.
We often associate the Revolution of Dignity with November 30, the day the protesters were brutally dispersed and beaten. After that, it shook the whole of Ukraine, and the Revolution lasted until February 2014. However, it was the nine days that preceded November 30 that became the driver of further change. It was the students, non-indifferent citizens, who went to peaceful protests and demonstrations, seeking a just future for Ukraine, that laid the foundations of the Revolution of Dignity. We decided to recall the events in photos: how it all started, and the first days of Euromaidan. Without the citizens who came to the protests then and started the movement, Ukraine now, probably, would look completely different.
