Ignoring unknown numbers, staying in touch 24/7, and being silently annoyed when someone close calls not on time; the world is changing, and so are the rules of the game. Including the ones with phones. We talk about why it's happening and what to do.
Mobile phones have long been more than just "calls," and in fact, as we use them as phones less. If you need to contact someone, it's easier to write by email or to one of the many messengers, and calls are made only in extreme cases. It's even more difficult to answer an incoming call, especially when a call is from an unknown number.
Having a mobile phone means that we almost always have to be in touch. On Sunday or during the holidays, work can remind us of itself, relatives or friends call at any time. Usually, people want to contact us because it is "more convenient" for them now, but in most cases, it happens without reciprocity. And we are often, very often, called from unknown numbers by unknown people with unclear or even fraudulent intentions. As a result, even for sociable people, the phone becomes a source of stress.
