As Kyiv's mayor, Vitaliy Klitschko, reported, 18 people have been rescued from the building at the moment: "According to preliminary information, two residents remain under the rubble. Rescue operations are ongoing. The extinguishing of destroyed building structures and the demolition of rubble are ongoing. Are there any casualties – we are clarifying the information."

Later, the adviser to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Anton Gerashchenko, reported the first person killed under the ruins of a residential building in Kyiv.
The damaged 120-year-old building is part of Kyiv's historical buildings (built in the style of historicism with neo-Renaissance elements).
The President's Office clarified that the capital was attacked by kamikaze drones.
After the first attack by kamikaze drones, a fire broke out in a non-residential building, and several residential buildings were damaged.
After 8:00 a.m., new strikes were made in the Shevchenkiv district.
