In the new digital age, the methods of collecting and storing personal data have undergone significant changes. Millions of users share their data, especially without worrying about their future, while hundreds of companies and organizations collect and manage data based on their own business interests. In 2015, for the first time, the United States developed criteria for assessing compliance with the digital rights of users by private companies. The initiative, known as the Ranking Digital Rights Index, was made possible by the New America Foundation under Senior Research Fellow Rebecca MacKinnon. This study analyzes how technology giants manage their user data, and highlights the vulnerabilities of companies' corporate policies, offering specific steps for revising these policies. We've prepared a review of similar ratings of digital rights in Ukraine and the world.
