Strike on Dnipro

The explosions in Dnipro rang out during the massive Russian attack on Ukraine on January 14. the Russians hit an apartment building.

According to the deputy head of the President's Office, Kyril Tymoshenko, the affected nine-story building had 16 entrances and about 1,700 residents. The entire house has no electricity, gas, or windows.

According to the official information of the command of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Kh-22 missile rocket that hit the residential building was launched from Kursk region. Unfortunately, the Armed Forces of Ukraine don't have firearms capable of shooting down this type of missile. Since the beginning of the russian full-scale invasion of Ukraine more than two hundred and ten missiles of this type have been launched on the territory of Ukraine. None of them was shot down by the air defence of our country. The weight of the Kh-22 warhead is about 950 kg. The maximum range is up to 600 kilometres. When used from long distances, the deviation from the target can be hundreds of metres.
