The founder of Kurazh charity flea market explained how the event location is adapted for people with disabilities, how much Kurazh donates to charity, and how to overcome feelings of squeamishness and start helping the homeless
Kurazh is a Kyiv scene as its founder, Aliena Gudkova, says. For those who don't know, Kurazh is a flea market with cool antiques. Or, rather, the event began with them, because now it's an art space with cinema and music, dancing and wine. At its basis, Kurazh is a platform for collecting funds that go to charity.
I talked with Aliena Gudkova, who laughs at the fact that for some close friends she is the thrifty Aliena. In fact, Aliena is a natural entrepreneur, event manager, mastermind, and founder of Kurazh. There is a lot to say about the event itself: the guys raise millions to transfer them later to buy medical equipment, to help people with disabilities and the homeless while remaining a commercial story. Rubrika was interested in what is being done at the location to make visiting the event convenient for everyone, including guests in wheelchairs.
