Soap life hacks: non-standard solutions on Global Handwashing Day
October 15 is Global Handwashing Day. We'll tell you about the solutions that will surprise you, as well as the checklists that everyone needs.
Everyone knows from childhood that hands need to be washed regularly. For the past year and a half, this reminder has been all over the news. In the days of the coronavirus, the topic of hand hygiene became one of the most relevant.
But a special day dedicated to handwashing was introduced much earlier. The tradition of celebrating Global Handwashing Day was initiated by the United Nations and the Children's Fund of the same organization in 2008. According to the WHO, handwashing saves thousands of lives every day. After all, it is through unwashed hands that the pathogens of cholera, viral pneumonia, hepatitis, influenza, and acute respiratory diseases enter the human body. According to UNICEF, 5,000 children die every day from diarrhea alone, also known as "dirty hand disease." That is why the UN and UNICEF have called for one day a year to highlight the need to teach children to wash their hands.
And we decided to share life hacks and unexpected solutions about handwashing. You probably don't expect this, but handwashing still has something to surprise you with.
