It's not only environmentally friendly but also very convenient. It turns out that a simple bicycle station can make it easier for people to go to the doctor or to an administrative service center. We explain how to achieve it in an average community.
Public transport issues concern not only Ukrainian city residents. And while citizens usually complain about the drive cost or the lack of trams, trolleybuses, or mini-buses, the vast majority of Ukrainian villages and urban-type settlements don't have any public transport at all. People coming to settle their affairs in community centers, which are often 10 or even more kilometers far, are forced to travel on foot or rent private taxis, and the price tags cost a pretty penny.
In the village of Sosnytsia, Chernihiv region, the authorities have purchased entire parking of bicycles to address public transport issues. Now both the village residents and guests can use it for free.
