The election results were announced on Saturday, November 7. Democrat Joseph Robinette Biden has crossed the 270-vote line to win and shook off his rival Trump. The new US President has already been congratulated by the leaders of the UK, Canada, Greece, Ireland, Belgium, and Lithuania. Volodymyr Zelenskyi also congratulated Biden on Twitter.
"America, I'm honored that you have chosen me to lead our great country. The work ahead of us will be hard, but I promise you this: I will be a President for all Americans — whether you voted for me or not. I will keep the faith that you have placed in me," Biden wrote on Twitter.
