Rubryka hosts online discussion on helping IDPs adapt in safer Ukrainian regions

Rubryka solutions outlet and civil society organizations will hold a training on the adaptation of IDPs in new communities. The event will take place on January 26 at 18:00 online.

What is the problem?

Russia's all-out war in Ukraine has forced about five million people to flee. Internally displaced people face problems with housing, employment and social services. The host communities have the same challenges.

What is the solution?

There are dozens of Ukrainian civil society organizations that work with internally displaced persons and try to help them solve a whole range of problems. Rubryka hosts training to enhance the exchange of experience between these organizations to improve their effectiveness.

How does it work?

Rubryka visited the center for the adaptation of displaced persons in Poltava and talked with specialists. The article received a lot of positive reactions and even more appeals from public organizations interested in this solution.

Our team decided to help share experiences between organizations working with IDPs across Ukraine. Together with the ZMIST Poltava NGO and the Poruch charitable foundation, we will conduct a training "Looking for Solutions: Adaptation of IDPs in New Communities."

We discuss the experience of IDPs' adaptation and their challenges. We will mention how NGOs working with refugees can pool resources, implement an effective CRM system, and develop an effective marketing strategy.

Speakers:

  • Oleksandr Skrypai, the ZMIST Poltava CEO.
  • Ilona Oryshchenko, the ZMIST Poltava adaptation center chief.
  • Rusana Sharlai, the Poruch foundation's president.
  • Bohdan Hrydin, the Poruch foundation's director.

The event's media partner is the Eastern Variant media outlet.

When: January 26 at 6 p.m.

Format: Online-event
