Timeline of war: day 203 of russia’s war in Ukraine

Key events

Ukrainian army's successes

settlements in the Kharkiv region. It is almost 8500 square km. Stabilization measures are still ongoing in half of the liberated territories. Specialists discover remnants of occupiers, sabotage groups, detain collaborators, and "restore full security."

📌 The South operational command reports that almost the entire Kherson region is currently under the fire control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This makes it impossible for the russian military to pull up its reserves.

📌 As of September 14, combat losses of personnel of the occupiers amounted to 53,650 people. Over the past day, 350 invaders were destroyed.

📌 The Ukrainian forces successfully repelled enemy attacks in the areas of 8 settlements in the Donetsk region. According to the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Zaluzhnyi, the situation at the front is tense but entirely under control.

📌 The Oskil River in the Kharkiv region has become a "new front line"; moreover, it reaches the administrative borders of the Luhansk region. But, as the Institute for the Study of War says, the russians are unlikely to be able to hold on to this line because they are not receiving reinforcements.

📌 "Northern Storm-2022": The National Guard, State Security Service, and other units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, together with the Defense Intelligence Service, conduct training on the border with Belarus. They train to set up defensive positions, mine the territory, and liberate and clear areas from enemy forces. They are working on identifying, blocking, and liquidating armed formations and sabotage and reconnaissance groups.

📌 This map shows the percentages of the occupied territories of Ukraine's regions as of today. Our soldiers still have a lot of work to do.

russia's attacks

📌 At night, russian terrorists launched a massive shelling of Mykolaiv with S-300 missiles. They hit one educational institution, infrastructure facilities, and residential buildings. None of these places are related to military facilities; they are not even nearby. Two people died, and three were injured.

📌 Nikopol in the Zaporizhzhia region was attacked twice during the night. The occupiers fired about 75 shells. Up to 20 buildings, several gas pipelines, and power lines were damaged in the city.

📌 Donetsk region: the occupiers shelled Myrnohrad, where they damaged a local school, and a sports complex was damaged in Mykolaivka. The ruscists launched a rocket attack on Kramatorsk—at least three private houses were damaged. Five people died, and 16 were injured in the region during the day.

📌 The positional battles for the region's populated areas do not stop in the Luhansk region, t; four rocket launchers hit the positions of the Ukrainian forces during the night. There were also 14 artillery shells and 13 mortar shells. Luhansk region remains without gas and partially without water and electricity.

📌 After 17:00, a large-scale air raid alert:

  • russia fired missiles at Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region, with explosions in the city. As a result of the shelling, problems with water supply and communication began in Kryvyi Rih.
  • The enemy also fired two rockets at the suburbs of Zaporizhzhia. For now, there are no casualties.
  • Air defense shot down the threats over Odesa.

📌 The text of the prayer "Our Lord" was found on the wall at one of the police department cells in liberated Balaklia, Kharkiv region, where the occupiers kept Ukrainians. People who were kept there told about brutal torture. Moreover, the russians turned off the ventilation system so that all the prisoners could hear the screams of the people being tortured.

Life considering war

📌 The Cabinet of Ministers approved the draft state budget of Ukraine for 2023; more than 1.1 trillion UAH, or almost 50% of all money, will be directed to the security and defense sector. 35% will be allocated to social programs.

📌 In the Kharkiv region, in Balaklia and Hrakove, Ukraine began to issue pensions immediately after the five months of occupation.

📌 Also, a train from Kharkiv arrived in liberated Balaklia for the first time in six months. Starting tomorrow, trains to the free city will run regularly again.

Solutions for victory

Support of foreign partners

💡 In the coming days, the USA may announce a new military aid package to Ukraine. The White House did not disclose details but noted that the United States is discussing its military needs with Ukraine "in real-time."

💡 So far, with the participation of instructors from Canada, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Ukraine, and the United Kingdom, almost 5 thousand of our servicemen have successfully completed training in Great Britain. Shortly, soldiers of the Ukrainian Forces will also study in Denmark.

💡 The European Union will introduce Ukraine into its free roaming zone.

💡 The European Commission will allocate another 100 million euros to Ukraine to reconstruct 74 Ukrainian schools. Institutions should be restored before the beginning of winter.

💡 Scholz offered putin to capitulate after the defeat of the russian army near Kharkiv. The Chancellor of Germany called the Kremlin for the first time since the end of May and offered to "completely withdraw troops" from Ukraine.

💡 In London, an installation was created to support the world-famous production of the United Ukrainian Ballet, Giselle. This is a unique ballet danced on top of a sandbag tower. All profits from ballet ticket sales go to the DEC Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal and the United Ukrainian Ballet Foundation to protect, support and promote Ukrainian culture.

💡 Farmers with Ukrainian roots in the USA created a giant maze of the words "We stand with Ukraine" in their cornfield. This attracts attention and helps raise funds for aid to Ukraine.

Ukrainians, let's unite!

💡 President Zelensky came to the liberated Izium, the largest occupied city in the Kharkiv region, which was liberated last week, for the ceremonial raising of the city's flag.

💡 Armored vests designed for female military personnel have been developed in Ukraine. They weigh much less than ordinary armor vests but are just as strong.

💡 Ukraine has launched its official Made With Bravery marketplace. The new platform should present Ukrainian manufacturers worldwide, and part of the money from sales will go to the reconstruction of Ukraine.

💡 Architect Mykola Zaitsev presented a restoration project for the destroyed airport in Mykolaiv. He offers to arrange it in the shape of a bird's wings. On March 28, russian missiles almost entirely destroyed the airfield.

It is how the architect sees the building of the destroyed Mykolaiv regional administration.

💡 In the Kyiv region, 50 locations were created to remove construction waste from destroyed buildings. Recycled waste will be used to restore roads.

💡 At the same time, the No Waste Ukraine project launched the charity initiative to help military units and volunteer headquarters remove and sort garbage.

💡 Humanitarian aid goes from the Poltava region to the Kharkiv region. Trucks with 50 tons of the most necessary products and children's and women's hygiene products are going to the de-occupied cities and villages. Ukrainians don't abandon each other in trouble!
