Timeline of war: day 199 of russia’s war in Ukraine

Key events of the day

Successes of the Ukrainian Armed Forces

🇺🇦 Great day! Kupyansk in Kharkiv Oblast was liberated. The situation is getting worse for Russia by the minute. ZSU — in Kupyansk, main routes to Izyum — cut. Racists began to leave Lysychansk, Vovchansk and Svatove in the Luhansk region – this city is 50 (!) km from Kupyansk. The offensive continues at lightning speed.

🇺🇦 As of yesterday evening, the Armed Forces liberated and took control of more than 30 settlements in the Kharkiv region. According to the Institute for the Study of War, the Armed Forces released about 2,500 square km in the Kharkiv region.

📌 Telegram channels report that the russians have left Izyum (Kharkiv region) and Liman (Donetsk region). The russians themselves write about it. If this is so, it means that the Russians will no longer be able to gain a foothold on the left bank of the Donets (and Oskol). And they will continue to retreat towards the Luhansk region.

Ukrainians are in the Izum, 120 km from Kharkiv.

📌 NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg: "russia used 80% of its ground forces in the war in Ukraine." That is, almost the entire army of the russian federation is now trying to restrain the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region and is defending itself in captured Kherson.

But already without the 237th Guards Assault Regiment. It ceased to exist due to the death or injury of all servicemen. Most of the wounded are in extremely serious condition.

📌 In 3 days, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed $157 million worth of Russian targets. These are missiles, helicopters, attack aircraft, and drones.

Solutions for the victory

💡 With the all support of the West, Ukraine can return Crimea within a year, and Russia's war against Ukraine can end with a direct military victory for Kyiv, said retired general Ben Hodges, an expert at the Washington Center for European Policy Analysis. He emphasized that Washington is fully aware of Ukraine's needs.

💡 Ukraine and Poland will build a hub in Poland for the repair of military equipment and training of the Ukrainian military with international partners.

💡 The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Germany, Annalena Berbok, arrived in Kyiv on an unannounced visit. With the trip, she intends to show that Germany will continue to support Ukraine.

By the way, 70% of Germans said during the last public opinion poll that they would support Ukraine, even if the prices for energy carriers would rise.
