Key points

Ukraine has changed its strategy and is preparing to turn the tide of the war, writes The New York Times. In recent weeks, the Armed Forces changed their strategy thanks to Western weapons and succeeded, at least in slowing down the Russian advance, the publication notes.

A fifth of the units of the Soviet Union involved in hostilities in Ukraine has been defeated. This was announced by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhnyi. The Commander-in-Chief noted that active hostilities are currently taking place on 1,300 km of the front and the Armed Forces of Ukraine are in dire need of increased artillery fire.

russia has already deployed about 85% of its active armed forces in the war against Ukraine, including troops transferred from the Far East and around the world, writes The New York Times.

Finally officially. The Armed Forces of Ukraine again struck a good blow at the Antonivskyi Bridge. Natalya Gumenyuk, the head of the joint defense coordination press center "South", confirmed the night strikes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the Antonivsky Bridge. According to her, the next blow to the Antonivsky Bridge was made to "finally secure its status" as impassable.

Humanitarian mission

Iryna Vereshchuk urged residents of the Kherson region to evacuate to escape the cold and the invaders. "Evacuate. A hard winter is coming. We need to help you, save you from the cold and the enemy," the minister emphasized. Now 50% of the residents of Kherson Oblast have left. More than 20,000 people are waiting for evacuation.

Who's coming to Ukraine?

On financial and informational aid, weapons, and politicians

Up to 10,000 Ukrainians with little or no military experience will be able to undergo intensive "military service" courses in Great Britain to protect against Russian aggression. British Defense Minister Ben Wallace noted that "this new ambitious program is the next stage of the UK's support to the Armed Forces of Ukraine in their fight against Russian aggression."

Assistance to refugees and internally displaced persons

The Lithuanian government has allocated more than €1 million to learn the Lithuanian language for Ukrainians who left after the full-scale invasion of Russia. The purpose of the support is to help people acquire the basics of the Lithuanian language in order to ensure "successful integration in Lithuania, giving them every opportunity to enter the labor market."

News from partners

Demonstrations in support of Ukraine continue in Paris — a march and rally took place yesterday. The participants demanded to recognize the Russian Federation as a terrorist state and save the people of Azov, and also called on French companies that have not yet left the Russian market to leave it.

Amnesty International wants independent experts to review the process of compiling its report on the alleged endangerment of civilians by the Ukrainian military. "It did not pay due attention to russian aggression in violation of international law and numerous war crimes committed by the Russian military," the organization admitted.
