In Chernivtsi, a third-grade student raised 30,000 hryvnias by selling his drawings to family and friends. He donated the funds to the military, which used the contribution to purchase two drones.
The Chernivtsi Regional Police Communications Department reported this.
Makar Dvirnychuk, an 8-year-old third-grade student at Chernivtsi Lyceum No. 10, is passionate about drawing. Since the onset of the full-scale invasion, he has diligently created and sold his artwork to family and friends for charitable purposes. Over three years, he has successfully raised 30,000 hryvnias.

Recently, Makar learned from a classmate that her father is serving in the rifle battalion of the Bukovyna police, defending Ukraine's territorial integrity and sovereignty. In response, Makar donated the money he raised to the police officer to help purchase drones. As a gesture of appreciation, the head of the Bukovyna police met with Makar Dvirnychuk and presented him with a gift.

"It is essential that, despite your rather young age, you understand the need to support our soldiers who are fighting the Russian enemy for Ukrainian lands," the police colonel noted in his address to Makar Dvirnychuk. "You set a positive example for your friends and all adult Chernivtsi residents that even small things have great importance, especially during a big war."

Notably, 10-year-old Mark, whose mother is Ukrainian and who was born and lives in Switzerland, felt compelled to act when the full-scale invasion began. He organized culinary marathons, successfully raising 117,000 hryvnias for the Ukrainian military.
For two years, nine-year-old Eric Dressler from the German town of Bonn has been actively raising funds to help Kherson. Eric started painting pebbles and selling them to his classmates and friends. He also set up a special donation box, which enabled him to raise funds to assist those affected by the war. Last year, he launched a new project – growing green lilies using seashells and pots from a local organic waste landfill. By his 9th birthday, Eric raised a certain amount to support Kherson.
