Earlier, the media reported that strike drones hit the Ryazan oil refinery for the third time in 2025 at around 3 a.m.

The Russian Ministry of Defense reported the destruction of 23 drones as follows:
- 16 UAVs were intercepted over the Oryol region,

For reference:
The head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council, Andrii Kovalenko, confirmed the attack on the Ryazan refinery.
According to him, this plant's processing capacity reaches 17.1 million tons of oil annually, making it one of the five largest refineries in the Russian Federation. It produces gasoline, diesel, aviation kerosene, fuel oil, and petrochemicals.
Aviation fuel is critically essential for the Russian army's front-line aviation and strategic long-range aviation, which strikes Ukraine.
In 2025, the Ryazan oil refinery was first attacked on January 24 and then on January 26, when units of the Ukrainian Forces of Unmanned Systems and the Main Intelligence Directorate carried out the attack.
According to Astra calculations, 27 fuel and energy facilities in 16 regions of Russia have been attacked since the beginning of the year.
Rubryka reported that the Novovelichkovskaya oil pumping station in Russia's Krasnodar Territory was de-energized and ceased operations following an attack by strike drones.
Also, on February 18, the Defense Forces attacked military and fuel and energy infrastructure: they hit the Ilya Oil Refinery in the Krasnodar Territory and two oil pumping stations.

Also, on the morning of January 15, unknown drones attacked several Russian regions. Explosions were heard in Rostov-on-Don, Novomoskovsk in the Tula region, and Engels in the Saratov region. An oil refinery was targeted in Volgograd, and an "industrial facility" caught fire in the Kaluga region as a result of the attack.
