Ukraine returns bodies of 757 fallen defenders

With the assistance of the Red Cross, the bodies of 757 deceased Ukrainian soldiers who fought on various fronts were returned to Ukraine.
The Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War reported this.
Among the fallen defenders are those who fought on:
- Kurakhove front;
- Pokrovsk front;
- Bakhmut front;
- Vuhledar front;
- Luhansk front;
- Zaporizhzhia front.

The bodies of Ukrainians from morgues on the territory of Russia were also returned.
The bodies of the military will be transported to designated state-specialized institutions and handed over to law enforcement officers and forensic experts. The identities of the fallen will be established as soon as possible.

The Office of the Commissioner for Missing Persons provides a hotline at 0 800 339 247 for reports. Additionally, individuals can personally contact the Commissioner at (099) 792 01 26. On weekends, reports can be submitted via Viber and Telegram using the number (095) 896 04 21.
For reference:
According to the results of repatriation measures:
- at the end of April, the bodies of 140 dead were repatriated, most of whom participated in hostilities in the Donetsk region,
- in June, the bodies of another 254 fallen defenders were returned to Ukraine.
- On August 2, Ukraine repatriated another 250 bodies of fallen defenders.
- On October 18, 501 bodies of fallen defenders were returned to Ukraine.
- On November 8, Ukraine repatriated 563 bodies of Ukrainian soldiers.
- On November 29, 502 fallen servicemen were returned to Ukraine.
- On January 24, Ukraine successfully conducted the latest exchange, bringing back the bodies of 757 fallen soldiers.
It should be noted that on January 15, 24 soldiers and a civilian were returned to Ukraine from Russian captivity. The Ukrainians released from captivity were wounded, and one had a severe form of tuberculosis.
Among the released prisoners were defenders of Mariupol, including Azovstal, the Kharkiv, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions.
