Special representative Kellogg's daughter aids wounded soldiers who fought for Ukraine – Washington Post
The daughter of Keith Kellogg, Trump's special representative for Ukraine, serves as the president of a charitable foundation supporting Ukraine since the onset of the full-scale war. The foundation provides humanitarian aid to Ukraine and arranges for American soldiers who fought alongside Ukrainian forces to receive medical treatment in Germany.
The Washington Post reports this.
The publication notes that there is no better "friend of Ukraine" than Meaghan Mobbs. In particular, the Mobbs Foundation created and manages a logistics center on the Romanian-Ukrainian border, from where more than 10,000 consignments of:
- medicines,
- medical supplies,
- other aid have already been delivered to more than 70 Ukrainian hospitals and humanitarian organizations.
In addition, the R.T. Weatherman Foundation helps evacuate American volunteer soldiers fighting in Ukraine. They are taken to the Landstuhl medical center in Germany, where they receive highly qualified assistance. The foundation is also involved in the repatriation of the bodies of deceased American soldiers.
The same foundation also coordinated and sponsored Kellogg's trip to Ukraine in January 2023, after which he spoke before the Senate Armed Services Committee.
At that time, Trump's current special representative called for more arms to Ukraine, allegedly saying that "the path to negotiations is to give Ukraine the opportunity to defeat the Russian army."
The publication also notes that Mobbs complained on social media that "aid to Ukraine has slowed down due to Biden's weak leadership and dysfunction in the Department of Defense."
According to journalists, her position is one of the "signs that Trump will not leave Ukraine." At the same time, they write that now "there are no guarantees that the father always agrees with the daughter, and vice versa."
For reference:
On February 3, US President Donald Trump signed an official decree appointing retired Lieutenant General Keith Kellogg as special representative for Ukraine and Russia.
Earlier, Kellogg announced that he would participate in the Munich Security Conference, which will be held on February 14-16. According to the US President's special representative, he intends to discuss ending the war in Ukraine with allies.
