President Volodymyr Zelensky will lead the Ukrainian delegation at the Munich Security Conference next week, where, among others, US Vice President J.D. Vance and Special Representative for Ukraine and Russia Keith Kellogg are also expected to participate.

The Associated Press reports this with reference to Andrii Yermak, the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine.

The head of the presidential office confirmed that the Ukrainian delegation in Munich will be personally led by the head of state, Volodymyr Zelensky.

"The Ukrainian delegation will present the country's position on ending the war, as well as its views on achieving a lasting peace," Andrii Yermak said.

The publication emphasizes that the annual conference comes at a key moment for Ukraine, which seeks to improve relations with the new US administration, a key partner in the almost three-year war.

According to Yermak, in Munich, Ukraine hopes to discuss what security guarantees can be introduced to prevent repeated aggression from the Russian Federation.

At the same time, the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine noted that the meeting date between Zelensky and Trump has not yet been determined, but, according to him, work on this continues, and the meeting should occur as soon as possible.

Andrii Yermak also confirmed that Keith Kellogg, Trump's special representative for Ukraine and Russia, is scheduled to visit Kyiv following the Munich conference, likely toward the end of February.

"We must engage in consultations and negotiations before the Trump administration formulates any plans.

Our stance is clear: developing plans without Ukraine's involvement in their preparation would be a significant error," the agency quotes the Ukrainian representative.

In response to a question about President Trump's plans for rare earth elements, Yermak noted that there is no framework for discussing this topic yet. However, according to him, Ukraine is considering a strategic partnership with the United States even after the war's end, and this is part of Volodymyr Zelensky's strategy in approaching the new administration.

"We want the Americans to look at us not only as a democracy that they helped survive during this terrible war of Russia against Ukraine but also as a very important and interesting strategic partner in the future," the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine noted.

For reference:

The Munich Security Conference is a regular forum for global discussions of international security, which has acquired new significance in the backdrop of Russia's war against Ukraine and other global challenges.

It should be noted that Kellogg previously announced that he would participate in the Munich Security Conference, which will be held on February 14-16.

According to the US President's special representative, he intends to discuss the issue of ending the war in Ukraine with allies with allies.

At the same time, Bloomberg, citing sources, writes that Kellogg may present the Trump Administration's plan for ending Russia's war against Ukraine during the conference.

According to unconfirmed reports, such a plan may include freezing the war and guaranteeing Ukraine's security.

On February 3, US President Donald Trump signed an official decree appointing retired Lieutenant General Keith Kellogg as special representative for Ukraine and Russia.

It is worth noting that Keith Kellogg was supposed to visit Ukraine in January, before Donald Trump's inauguration. The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry confirmed that the date of the visit had already been agreed upon.

But then it turned out that Kellogg's visit had been postponed. Foreign Ministry spokesman Heorhii Tykhyi explained that this was due to legal reasons.
