Solutions to win: The Konotop Witch actors and Ukrposhta launch fundraiser for sea drone to support Ukraine's intelligence
Ukrposhta, the Ivan Franko National Academic Drama Theater, and TEATR.org.ua have joined forces to purchase a Magura V5 sea drone for the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, which will be named "The Konotop Witch."
Ukrposhta reported this.
"Let the enemies be "sad and unhappy," the company commented.
Ukrposhta has issued a limited edition of stamps titled "Konotop Witch," with only 100 copies available.
In conjunction with the release, the theater actors of "The Konotop Witch" have signed the stamps and will embark on a tour following their performance of the same name. The opportunity to obtain one of these exclusive stamps is open to the audience and anyone who contributes to the fundraising initiative. Recipients will be selected at random.
"Some lucky people who donate to the collection will also receive the treasure – they will be chosen randomly, so everyone has a chance," Ukrposhta emphasized.
The initiators plan to collect 8 million hryvnias, and the sea drone that will be purchased with these funds will be symbolically named "The Konotop Witch."
The fund has already accumulated over 500,000 hryvnias. Donations can also be made to the card number 4441 1111 2169 4602.
For reference:
"The Konotop Witch" was directed by Ivan Uryvskyi and brought to the stage featuring actors from the Ivan Franko National Academic Drama Theater.
The plot corresponds to the story of the Ukrainian writer Hryhoriy Kvitka-Osnovianenko. Although the play's premiere took place on April 28, 2023, it is still very difficult to buy tickets, as they are sold out several months before the event.
In Kyiv, the Theater on Mykhailivska presented the play "The Best Day and Other Troubles" by playwright Maryna Smilianets, based on documentary stories of recently graduated Ukrainian boarding school students.
In addition, the MUR creative association, during the second wave of the all-Ukrainian tour, held 25 performances dedicated to the Executed Renaissance and raised a significant amount for the needs of Ukraine's armed forces.
