Russian missile strike hits private enterprise in Mykolaiv, claims lives of two women

On the evening of January 28, Russian forces launched missile strikes on Mykolaiv, targeting a food industry enterprise and resulting in the deaths of two employees.

The city's mayor, Oleksandr Sienkevych, reported this on his Telegram channel.

At approximately 8:00 p.m., the Air Force warned residents of the Kirovohrad, Cherkasy, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions about the potential threat of ballistic missile attacks by Russian occupation forces.

The monitoring channel "Nikolaevsky Vanek" reported the threat of enemy ballistic missile launches originating from temporarily occupied Crimea. The channel's author specifically noted a strike in the Korabelny district of Mykolaiv.

Almost simultaneously with the reports, explosions were heard throughout the city. The enemy strike claimed the lives of two residents who were employees at the targeted enterprise.

"Two employees died as a result of the attack. My condolences to the relatives and friends of the deceased. Russia is a country of dung," the head of Mykolaiv wrote.

In turn, the head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, Vitalii Kim, confirmed that two women died as a result of the Russian missile strike on Mykolaiv.

"Employees of the enterprise. Russia is a country of terrorists," he wrote on Telegram.

Later, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine clarified that two employees, aged 54 and 56, were killed.

"The bodies of the deceased were unblocked from under the rubble by rescuers. The workshop building was partially destroyed, and the administrative building of the enterprise was damaged," the rescuers said.

Police officers, emergency and municipal services also worked at the scene.

It should be noted that on the evening of January 21, Russian forces attacked Mykolaiv using seven drones, leading to the destruction of an apartment building and resulting in a fire. The private sector was also affected, with two people sustaining injuries.

Additionally, on the night of January 28, Russian forces launched drone strikes across several regions of Ukraine. Air defenses were active in various areas, but damage was reported in the Kyiv, Chernihiv, Odesa, and Kharkiv regions. Uman in the Cherkasy region experienced partial power outages.
