Famous Ukrainian artist Nikita Titov designed Christmas posters that resembled postcards from the Ukrainian Insurgent Army's partisans.

He wrote about this on his Facebook page.

"I just finished this poster, and some commented that it reminds them of rebellious postcards. The art from that era greatly inspires me, but I have never attempted something like this before. With Christmas approaching, it's a time of giving and spreading cheer.

Only now, as in those days, are the war and the enemy the same, and we need to find the strength to unite and support each other and, most importantly, our army. So that we don't have to make postcards from kryiivka [a military-defense and economic structure of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army, located underground – ed.] again," the artist wrote.

The printmaking technique came to Ukraine in the 19th century. This is a print of the author's drawing with an autograph and the creation date. At the fans' request, Nikita Titov made a print based on the author's poster.

They mention you can buy the printed version of "Postcards from the Hiding Place" at the Volunteer Art Shop GIG Shop.

"The postcard's writing, featuring the popular Ukrainian carol "Shchedryk," along with a Christmas star, watercolor paper, and a monochromatic image, evokes memories of our ancestors celebrating Christmas in secret hideouts.

Today, 80 years later, our soldiers of Ukraine's armed forces celebrate Christmas in dugouts and trenches. And the enemy is the same…" the art shop adds.

For reference:

Nikita Titov is a multi-talented artist specializing in various forms, such as illustration, poster, theater, and digital art. He is currently working on multiple projects and has organized them into separate albums, each with its own unique content.

These are "Lullaby," "Fairy-tale characters," "Introspection," "In the sense," "Wings," "Black and White," "Tender," "Shelf," and others, which are united by a theme and a single style. The posters are political as well as cheerful, cheerful works. The works of the "Animals" series are somewhat reminiscent of the works of Maria Prymachenko.

It is worth mentioning that Andrii Yusov, the representative of Ukraine's intelligence agency, along with members of the "Aratta" special unit, extended their congratulations to Anhelina Palamar, the communication officer of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army, on her 100th birthday. The soldiers presented her with the prestigious "Ukraine Above All!" medal for her service.

In addition, volunteers in the Ivano-Frankivsk region conducted an expedition with a toloka [clean-up—ed.] and arranged a tourist route to Mount Berezovachka, the hideout of  the Ukrainian Insurgent Army colonel Mykola Tverdokhlib.
