Russia shells Kherson, leaving civilian casualties and damaging residential buildings
On the morning of December 20, Kherson experienced heavy artillery fire from the Russians. According to reports, residential buildings were hit, and there were civilian casualties as a result of the enemy's attack.
The head of the Kherson City Military Administration, Roman Mrochko, and the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, reported that.
"There is a massive shelling of the city of Kherson. There are civilian casualties! Many hits in apartment buildings."
The head of the regional military administration, Prokudin, reported that the city was under massive artillery shelling and urged everyone to stay in shelters.
As a result of the morning shelling, a 76-year-old man was seriously injured. He has a mine-explosive injury and a shrapnel wound to the chest.
Another 63-year-old man was hospitalized with contusion, mine-explosive injury, and closed craniocerebral trauma.
A 55-year-old woman was taken to the hospital from the Central District of Kherson. As a result of the morning enemy attack, she received mine-explosive and closed craniocerebral injuries and multiple shrapnel wounds to the leg.
"A 60-year-old man received injuries incompatible with life. He was indoors at the time of the enemy strike," Mrochko informed.
Later, it became known that another injured person was taken to the hospital due to the massive shelling of Kherson. The 44-year-old man has an explosive injury and traumatic amputation of the fingers of his right hand.
"Our municipal services, volunteers, and various charitable organizations are starting to eliminate the consequences! We are waiting for applications for a quick response," Mrochko noted.

On December 9, Russian troops launched an attack on the central area of Kherson from the temporarily controlled left bank of the Dnipro River at approximately 10:30 a.m. Unfortunately, a 44-year-old woman who happened to be outside was injured by the explosion and fragments. She was immediately transported to the hospital for treatment of her blast injuries and shrapnel wounds. Moreover, a drone was also used by the Russian forces to target a vehicle belonging to a municipal enterprise in Kherson.
Earlier, on the afternoon of June 26, Russian troops attacked the humanitarian headquarters in Kherson. As a result of the attack, five people were injured.
