Over the course of one thousand days of intense Russian aggression, Kyiv experienced a staggering 1,369 air strikes, lasting a combined total of more than 1,553 hours. The enemy unleashed over 2,500 missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles, targeting the capital during this period.

The Kyiv City Military Administration (KCMA) press service reported that.

According to the military administration, in particular, the Russian invaders launched at Kyiv:

  • over 1,600 kamikaze drones of various modifications;
  • almost 800 Kh-101, Iskander-K, Kh-69 cruise missiles;
  • about 90 Iskander-M and KN-23 ballistic missiles;
  • almost 40 Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles;
  • and 6 Zircon hypersonic missiles.

In 2024, Kyiv experienced 1,250 air attacks, with one particularly significant strike consisting of nearly 80 missiles and drones in a single night.

"In 1000 days, Kyiv has survived about a dozen massive, combined air strikes. In the most massive of which, the Russian army launched almost 80 missiles and UAVs at our city! Just think, in the 21st century, thousands of missiles and drones are destroying the capital of a European state," the head of the KCMA, Serhii Popko, said.

The head of the military administration also called on Ukrainians to remember who made Kyiv invincible.

"Don't forget who made us survive, repel hundreds of air strikes, and continue to fight! Therefore, don't forget our defenders! Help the military and support them with everything you can! Only with your help, with the strong and reliable rear of Ukraine's armed forces, will we bring peace to Ukraine after our Victory!" Popko summed up.

For reference:

It should be noted that since the evening of November 16 and during the night and morning of the next day, the Russian invaders attacked Ukraine with 210 air targets: the Air Defense Forces managed to destroy 102 missiles and 42 drones.

In October 2024 alone, Ukrainian military drones hit more than 52 thousand enemy targets, demonstrating a high level of effectiveness.

It is worth adding that today, Ukraine's armed forces are holding back a large-scale offensive by Russian troops, which is one of the most powerful advances of the occupiers since the beginning of the full-scale war.
