United to win: Australia to gift Ukraine with fourteen military boats
Australia intends to deliver 14 swift and agile boats to bolster Ukraine's maritime and coastal defense capabilities.
Australian government reported that.
"Australia will gift 14 rigid hull boats to Ukraine, underscoring the Albanese Government's ongoing commitment to support Ukraine in its defense against Russia's illegal invasion," the post emphasized.
As noted, these Australian Defense Forces marine boats will provide Ukraine with fast and highly maneuverable maritime capabilities.
The announcement adds that the latest round of military support, estimated at 14 million Australian dollars, will strengthen Ukraine's maritime and coastal defenses, a critical operational area for Ukraine's armed forces.
For reference:
In total, since the start of the full-scale Russian invasion, Australia has provided over $1.3 billion in military support and over $1.5 billion in general support to the government of Ukraine.
Recently, Australia transferred several Joint Direct Attack Munition Extended-Range (JDAM-ER) cruise bombs to Ukraine immediately after the Royal Australian Air Force had withdrawn them from service.
Dozens of Australian Abrams tanks will also be sent to Ukraine as part of a new package of military aid from Australia.
In addition, Australia pledged to provide Ukraine with the most significant military aid package since the start of the Russian invasion, worth 250 million dollars.
